Hotel Amari Beroperasi Di Iskandar Malaysia Akhir Tahun

JOHOR BAHRU: Hotel Amari yang diuruskan ONYX Hospitality Group (ONYX), kumpulan pengurusan hotel terkemuka Asia, bakal beroperasi di tengah bandaraya ini menjelang akhir tahun ini. Hotel Amari Johor Bahru adalah sebahagian projek Suasana Iskandar iaitu pembangunan komersial bersepadu¬†bernilai RM500 juta dimajukan oleh¬†United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand), serta menjadikan kehadiran jenama Amari yang pertama di Malaysia. Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Operasi ONYX, Peter Henley, berkata hotel membabitkan pelaburan RM200 juta itu merangkumi 242 bilik penginapan dan suite mewah selain spa, restoran dan bilik mesyuarat. “Kami bangga dengan kerjasama yang dijalinkan dengan UMLand bagi projek pembangunan hartanah Amari yang pertama di Malaysia. “Sebagai kumpulan hospitaliti berpangkalan di Thailand, kehadiran kami di negeri jiran yang paling hampir adalah satu kejayaan kepada kami. “Kami juga akan membangunkan dua lagi projek hartanah iaitu OZO Iskandar Medini dan Shama Medini dengan UMLand yang mana inisiatif ini menjadikan ia pelaburan terbaharu pertama di Malaysia dan Johor menjadi destinasi pilihan bagi ketiga-tiga jenama utama kumpulan,” katanya. Beliau berkata demikian pada majlis menyiapkan kerja projek Hotel Amari Johor Bahru di sini, hari ini. Ia disempurnakan oleh Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pelancongan, Perdagangan dan Kepenggunaan negeri, Datuk Tee Siew Kiong. Hadir sama, Pengerusi UMLand, Tun Musa Hitam dan Pengarah Urusan Kumpulan UMLand, Dennis Ng.

JOHOR BAHARU, 15 Mac (Bernama) — Amari Hotel, yang dikendalikan ONYX Hospitality Group (ONYX), akan memulakan operasinya menjelang akhir tahun ini, kata Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan, Peter Henley.

Amari Hotel Johor Baharu adalah sebahagian daripada projek Suasana Iskandar, satu pembangunan komersil komprehensif RM500 juta yang sedang dibangunkan United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand), selain kemunculan jenama Amari yang pertama di Malaysia.

Henley berkata, apabila siap hotel itu akan menawarkan 242 bilik dan suite, selain bilik mesyuarat, spa dan suite.

“Kami bangga dengan kerjasama kami dengan UMLand untuk pembangunan hartanah Amari pertama di Malaysia.

“Sebagai kumpulan hospitaliti berpangkalan di Thailand, kehadiran kami di negara jiran boleh dianggap sebagai satu kejayaan kepada kami,” katanya pada sidang akhbar selepas majlis penyempurnaan paras tertinggi hotel berkenaan di sini hari ini.

Majlis itu dirasmikan Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, Pelancongan dan Kepenggunaan Johor, Datuk Tee Siew Kiong.

Pengerusi UMLand, Tun Musa Hitam dan Pengarah Urusan Kumpulan UMLand, Dennis Ng turut hadir.

Sementara itu, Tee berkata, kerajaan yakin sektor hospitaliti akan terus berkembang tahun ini seiring dengan permintaan kukuh daripada pelancong.

“Peningkatan jumlah hotel dan bilik hotel mencerminkan permintaan untuk perkhidmatan hotel di Johor akan terus bertambah disebabkan pembangunan pesat industri pelancongan dan aktiviti perdagangan, khususnya di Johor Baharu,” tambahnya.

Menurutnya, jumlah hotel berstatus bintang di Johor bertambah 15.4 peratus kepada 105 hotel tahun lepas berbanding 91 hotel pada 2014 dan jumlah bilik meningkat kepada 13,381 tahun lalu berbanding 11,290 pada tahun sebelumnya.

JOHOR BAHARU: Amari Hotel, which is operated by ONYX Hospitality Group (ONYX), will start its operation by end of this year, Group President and Chief Operating Officer Peter Henley said.

Amari Hotel Johor Baharu is part of the Suasana Iskandar project, a RM500 million comprehensive commercial development being developed by United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand), as well as a debut for Amari brand in Malaysia.

Henley said once completed, the hotel would provide 242 rooms and suites, apart from meeting rooms, spa and restaurants.

“We are proud with our partnership with UMLand for the first Amari real estate development in Malaysia.

“As a hospitality group based in Thailand, our presence in the neighbouring country can be considered as a success to us,” he told a press conference after the topping-out ceremony for the hotel, here today.

Officiating the ceremony was Johor Domestic Trade, Tourism and Consumerism Executive Committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong.

Also present was UMLand Chairman Tun Musa Hitam and UMLand Group Managing Director Dennis Ng.

Meanwhile, Tee said the state government was confident that the hospitality sector would continue to grow this year in line with a strong demand from tourists visiting Johor.

“The increase in the number of hotels and hotel rooms reflected demands in hotel services in Johor which continue to increase due to the rapid development in the tourism industry and trade activities, especially in Johor Baharu,” he added.

For example, the number of star-status hotels in Johor increased 15.4 per cent to 105 hotels last year from 91 hotels in 2014 while the number of hotel rooms also rose to 13,381 last year from 11,290 in 2014, Tee said.
